As part of our transition from a print publication to freely available online in 2022 AJIE was accepted into the Directory of Open Access Journals and awarded the DOAJ Seal for best practice in open access. DOAJ is an extensive index of diverse open access journals internationally which aims to increase the visibility, accessibility, reputation, usage and impact of quality, peer-reviewed, open access scholarly research journals globally. We hope the shift of the journal to open access leads to further dialogue and discussion about Indigenous educational success both in Australia and internationally.
